Douglas Gerardo D’lima Moreno was born in the city of Cabimas, State of Zulia, Venezuela, on August 17, 1990. He is a music artist with extraordinary talents and exceptional skills, specializing as a music producer, arranger, and guitarist.
Douglas has produced and arranged songs for many artists, resulting in several of them being internationally recognized in prestigious academies. Among the most important awards, it should be noted that Douglas has been nominated in the Mexican Academy of Arpa Awards on multiple occasions with the band “Generasion” in categories such as «Best independent group album» and as an instrumentalist, he also earned 2 Latin Grammy nominations with the same band, both nominations in the «Best Christian album in Spanish» category. In 2019, Douglas is nominated for the first time with his band “Montesanto” as «Group of the year» and «Revelation artist of the year» at the Redemption Awards held in New York City, and in 2022, Douglas received the “Producer of the Year” and “Song of the year” awards with the song “Derramo el Perfume” by “Montesanto” at El Galardon Internacional Awards held in Orlando, Florida.
It is important to mention his outstanding participation as producer and arranger of the album “Cambiar al Mundo” by Kerwin Marquez, a well-known national Christian artist and singer of the Spanish-American television channel Enlace TBN, in 2015, who was the winner of the category «Launch of the year» of Arpa Awards.
His beginnings as a musician were at the local church called “Betel Internacional”, where together with his parents he would congregate, thus receiving instructions and Christian values since his childhood, forming part of the praise and worship ministry.
Douglas began to take his first steps into musical production at just 17 years old, creating musical arrangements and collaborating on recordings for national artists. In September 2011, he received an invitation from the iconic Venezuelan band “Generasion” directed by musician and singer Alexis Principal (2-time Latin Grammy nominee) to join the band as guitarist and music producer. To the present day, he continues to work as a member of “Generasion”, presenting live concerts on the most important stages in Latin America, sharing stages with important and outstanding exponents of Christian music, among them, Willy Gonzalez Cruz, better known as “Redimi2”; Seth Condrey, winner of a Dove Award; and Christine D’Clairo, who has been repeatedly nominated for the GMA Dove Awards, VMCL Awards and whose music has been position in the Billboard “Top Latin Album” charts, among others.
It wasn’t until 2017, that Douglas realized the need to form a pop-electronic music band within the Hispanic Christian music industry, it’s there when “Montesanto” was born, one of Douglas’s current and most promising music projects, a band to which he has managed to position among the first in popularity throughout Latin America and the United States.
